Hello.
I like to play games like Skyrim and such that need decent graphics to actually enjoy. To do so, I need to upgrade the video card and by in order to do that I need to upgrade the PSU as well.
I know *how to do both as I have been upgrading computers for about 25 years but I cannot find detailed specs on the HP Pavilion 590-p0020 anywhere so that I know exactly what I can actually upgrade to.
For the video expansion slot, everything simply says PCI-e. Nothing on the net seems to say which version of PCI-e the motherboard has on it. I have read people on amazon saying that they upgraded this same desktop pc to PCI-e 3.0 graphics cards by nvidia but I don't know if I believe that.
Can anyone here tell me what version PCI-e the expansion slot is and how powerful a PSU I can put in? Or give me some examples of some really nice but not too expensive cards that they would suggest?
I have a couple hundred extra dollars to spend but nothing outrageous and that is, luckily lol, with my wife's blessing hahaha.
I love this machine. It was a Christmas present year before last just after mine crashed hard. I am just hoping to give it a boost. I have 32 gig of ram in it right now, so that is already maxed.

The HP 590-0020, as shown here, utilizes a proprietary PSU. The GPU card slot is PCIEx16 version 3.0
Please read the commentary, and snapshot by spreadsheet. When I update the data, the link is destroyed (for now). The cross reference is my work. Just follow the logic.
