I have updated z840 TPM to 2.0 and after reboot Windows does not see the module anymore. And when I ran TPMConfig64.exe from SP87753, I am getting the error RC = 0xE0295008.

I found this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/RC-0xE0295008-after-updating-HP...

Which set me on the right path, though slightly different 🙂

SOLUTION:

In stead of pressing F9 during start up I had to press F10 and go to security section  and reset TPM settings to Default.

After rebooting again the TPM 2.0 module had to finish the upgrading process.
