HP Omen 30L
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello! I purchased a HP Omen 30L gaming pc with the 1660 super and ryzen 3600. I was wondering if I could put my older 2400mhz 32 gb of ram DDR4 (corsair vengeance lpx) in the pc since it's a single channel 8gb. Is this compatible?

Thank you for the additional information, @MADDX!

This is the Product Number for your computer: 9EE28AA

You can find it at the bottom of the page in HP Support Assistant.  The model number gave me the same information.

Here is the Product Specification page for the computer: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-desktop-pc-30l-gt13-0000a/33802663/model/34128633/document...

If you look at the section titled "Memory/Memory upgrade information", you will see the specifications for the memory that is compatible with the motherboard.  If the Corsair memory does work, it may be set to DDR4-2133 MHz, the standard speed of DDR4 memory.  It depends on the BIOS/UEFI.

You can check the manufacturer and timings of the current memory with CPU-Z: https://download.cnet.com/CPU-Z/3000-2086_4-10050423.html

This information is in the Tab titled "SPD".

@MADDX , welcome to the Community.

What is the Product Number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. You can find the Product Number at the bottom of the page when you open HP Support Assistant.
