Hp Omen 15-ce0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Today I installed a 8gb aditional RAM to my Omen 15 and the laptop does not recignize it, i’ve tried switching:

First, the original Samsun 8gb RAM into the B slot (computer didn’t start)

Then I putted the new Kingston 8gb RAM into the A slot and it worked fine, but when i add the other one it doesn’t show up, in Task Manager it saus I’m only using 1 out of 2 slots

The new one is a Kingston DDR4 8gb 2400Mhz (the same as the original Samsung)

PD: I already checked if any Pin was broken or bent but it is not the case, everything is well.

@Floxipol

I reviewed your post and I understand that the RAM is not getting detected in the second slot.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

As you have tested both the RAMs in both the slots and both are not working on the second slot which confirms an issue with the slot.

I recommend you contact support and check the available service options for your computer.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

P.S: Welcome to the HP Support Community 😊
