Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

my 690-0024 pavilion has a Samsung DDr4 2666 8gb stick , labled 2Rx8. The only ones i can find to add another 8 gb are labeled 1Rx8 and are also samsung 2666 ddr4. can 1rx8 and 2rx8 sticks be mixed? please help as the AMD APU takes up 2 of the GB so i only have 6 since hp has no way to disable

nvm i got the solution , i just returned this junk hp computer and bought another brand that doesnt use proprietary everything for no reason. all it does is hurt you to not have your computer be upgradeable, you just lost a sale and another customer.
