I have recently purchased a new set of Ram, i wanted to have 16gb as 8gb was not enough for me. I bought new ram and replaced it all is working well apart from my mhz being lower. Old ram was running at 3200Mhz and when i put it back in it recognizes it and runs at that speed, However the new ram although it should also be 3200mhz it caps at 2133mhz and i do not have an advanced bios option to overclock my memory. Please help what do i do?

Your machine is an HP OMEN GT11-0048na, its specs

            https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c07017399

It has HyperX XMP 8 GB

  • Speed: PC4-25600 MB/s
  • Type: DDR4-3200

That is a very hard way to get the right RAM from third party. Please download and install new BIOS, that should help

@Okudan,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

HP computers are very particular when it comes to RAM and especially attaining max RAM speed. Some more so than others.

As it happens, @banhien is correct.  Going through all OMEN 25L GT11-0048na Desktop PC (365K2EA) benchmark PC scores fitted with the Moria3 (SSID: 87C3) motherboard, according to: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/HP-OMEN-25L-Desktop-GT11-0xxx/190106, literally the ONLY RAM that has been shown to run at 3200 MHz is the specially manufactured HP branded Kingston HP32D4U8S8HC-8X (2 x 8GB) RAM...

Kind Regards,
