hp 406 g1 mt business pc
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have 3 HP 406 g1 mt business pc at my workplace. The existing systems have intel integrated graphics cards. We want to utilize the systems for Virtual Reality development for HTC Vive. This however requires NVidia Geforce GTX 980.

Can anyone pl. confirm with the NVidia Geforce GTX 980 compatible with HP 406 g1 mt with respect to form factor and dimensions? Has anyone done such an upgrade previously?

Best Regards,

Pramit

(1) PCI Express x16 (v2.0), 10.67 cm (4.2 in) full height, 16.76 cm (6.6 in) length, 75 W maximum power  Link
Suggested cards link The GT730 is a 23-45W card, depending on model.
The GTX 980 draws 165W, and exceeds the 75W PCIEx16 slot power. You would have to find a 500WPSU.
