Replacement fan part 858654-001

HP Recommended
HP Pavillion 510-p026
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

The fan is going bad per the system message so I want to replace the fan/heatsink on the CPU. When I look at the parts listing, I see part number is 858654-001. However, I am having a very hard time finding this online. Is there a compatible part or does anyone have any insight? Thank you.

@PERidenour63,

Just replace the fan.   How to measure.

If it is 80mm, here is a 4 wire PWM fan.

That sounds like it would work. I haven't taken the heatsink out yet, any idea how that fan hooks to the cpu? I don't see any obvious screws. Usually I don't have to ask questions 🙂 . Thank you!

@PERidenour63,

There are 4 corner holes in the fan. Look straight down in the hole.  You will the screw head.  The heatsink does not have to be removed. I use a #1 phillips to reach down into the bottom hole from the top.

Thanks for all of your help on this. Although the parts list indicates 45W, I think think one should do the job?
