Computer shop said motherboard is bad, looking for a motherboard replacement

@Larry140 -- a few possibilities:

  1. Amazon
  2. eBay
  3. http://PartSurfer.HP.com

to find an identical motherboard.

 

However, your copy of Windows was "activated" with the current motherboard. If you change the motherboard, your copy of Windows may not be allowed to "activate" again.  You might need to purchase a new license for Windows 10.

 

Given that Windows 11 will be available in early 2022, maybe a new computer (currently running Windows 10, but with all the technical requirements required to run Windows 11, as a free upgrade) is in your immediate future?
