What kind of SSD should I purchase to replace the hard disk of this desktop?

@bmt-216a , welcome to the forum.

 

I can't find the specifications for your computer in the HP support pages.  However, here are the SSD's that are recommended by Crucial Memory.  If you can't buy Crucial products in your country, you can use the specifications to find one that will work.

Hi,

You can replace with any 2.5" SATA3 SSD such as the 2.5" Samsung 860 Evo or similar.

Example:

On page 15-17 of the guide below you can see how to remove the 3.5" Hard drive and place the 2.5" SSD

You will need to install the OS on the SSD either by using recovery drive, migrating an image or performing clean install after creating a bootable drive with Windows 10 on it.
