I was thinking of upgrading my PC with a 1tb HDR. Does anyone know if there is a spare sata cable in the PC or if I have to buy one?

@TheBreadMan , welcome to the forum.

 

The specifications don't mention anything about SATA cables.  I believe your best option is to open the side panel to see what is available.  Also, while you are doing the inspection, I would check the motherboard to see if there is an extra SATA port.  HP no longer provides a motherboard diagram.  The SATA cables are very inexpensive.
