Hello
you don't say everything ..
Yes, we can add an SSD normally, if you replace the original hard drive with a classic sata SSD, this shouldn't be a problem, provided maybe you use an adapter, if it is a 3.5 / 2.5
What is not working?
what did you buy?

Thank you very much for your information. I don't have an adapter I only plugged the SSD into the SATA3 socket.
However, I called HP FRANCE and they told me that it was not possible for this model. ?????
What do you think ?
thank you.

I bought a CRUCIAL MX500 1000 GB SSD in SATA 3

Sorry but if you don't say more, I won't understand
From what I have seen there is only one SATA data ..
you must therefore install the ssd in place of the original hard DIsque.
You must connect the two cables sata data and power supply.

which was on the old HDD
Then you have to install windows!
So did you do other things than connect the SSD to a single port
What exactly is not working?

I will try to be clear.
Yes, in my HP there is only a 2Tb HDD in SATA3.
I have cloned this HDD to the SSD with Macrium Reflect.
And then I replaced the HDD with the SSD.
And when I boot up I just get the HP logo I can't even get into the bios.

I will try with the software provided by Crucial.
And if it's not good.
I'll do a clean install.
Thank you very much for your help and have a nice evening.

Hello,
I've done two more tests.
(1) : I cloned the HDD with the software provided by Crucial. I have replaced the HDD with the SSD and it does not restart.
(2) : I formatted the SSD and put it in the computer to do a clean install with the Microsoft tool.
I can't do this because I don't have access to the Bios. So I can't boot on the usb stick.
I think HP France was right, you can't change the hard drive on this model.
I would not advise my friends to buy an HP.
I'm sorry.
