HP Pavilion p6-2260ea Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Would anyone know if the above PC and motherboard is suitable for an SSD upgrade and then cloning the existing HDD to an SSD. I spoke to Western Digital and they said that I would need to ask the question of the OEM.

Hello
In general it is not a problem
You can even check if you can not keep the original disk, the motherboard has multiple sata ports
Looks to me like you only have one slot, but an SSD can easily find a small place
No need, however, to look for a high performance SSD, the speed will be limited by the SATA port

I personally bought an mx500 SSD for another model, but it's day and night

After contacting my PC OEM I can only use a 2.5 inch SSD not an M.2 one.

Yes, and I didn't say otherwise, you just had to ask
It is clearly visible with the given link, where you can see the motherboard, which only has sata ports!

that's why I mentioned the sata SSD mx500
