SSD versus hard drive storage
04-22-2021 12:26 PM

My (C:) drive which is SSD type used 75% of its 118 GB capacity. My (D:) drive which is a Hard Drive with a capacity of 918 GB is only 10% used.
Should my operating system and data from the (C:) drive be switched to the (D:) drive?
What does HP recommend for storage of the operating system, SSD or Hard Drive?

What does HP recommend for storage of the operating system, SSD or Hard Drive?
I do not understand your question exactly, but it is not HP who recommends or not ...
An SSD is much faster than a mechanical hard drive.
So for the operating system and many software, it is more efficient to use the SSD
For data storage, on the other hand, it is less important, so we use more the mechanical disk, especially if we have a small capacity SSD.
