I have a samsung nvme (oem Dell) and i would like to know if it is possible to use it on my z820 workstation. I don't need it to install windows (for windows booting). I can do the installation and it is recognized by the windows 10 disk manager, but when I create the partition I get messages that the drive has not been initialized. What should I do? What would be the right driver for pm1725a?

@FCoutinho , welcome to the forum.
It is very difficult to know if a Dell SSD will be compatible with a HP motherboard. HP has their motherboards made their specifications and are not necessarily the same as a retail board. I believe the Dell SSD may be manufactured by Samsung.
Here is the information for your Dell SSD: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=nmdm2
The driver and Firmware are included in the information. It don't believe that it will damage the motherboard or SSD if you install it and it doesn't work. I suggest that you contact Dell's Customer Support to see if they can give you more information.
Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the Workstation: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04205252
