Hello, I want to upgrade my ram to 16gb, 8gb for 1 stick, but I searched amazon and newegg and all of it is sdram, will sdram works good on dimm?

Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the Tower: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04331008

 

On Pages 50 thru 52 is a list of compatible memory and instructions for installing it and populating the sockets.  The memory is SDRAM (Synchronous Dynamic Random-access Memory) and the sticks are called DIMM's (Dual In-line Memory Modules).

 

The Guide will have all of the other information that you need for the computer.
