Hp 8300 sff
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone

I have an hp 8300 sff and i installed a second hd but i can not show it from the pc

I installed the primary disk on port 9

And the optical drive on 8

Connect the second hd on port 7 or 10 not recognized

If I connect it on port 8 instead of the optical unit, it has programmed but then I no longer have the DVD player

What are the steps to take to get everything connected and working?

Thank you

Not sure of your port numbering.

Click the link below and scroll down to "8300 small form factor" and click on it to open the manual.

Then scroll to page 112, and scroll down to number 18(on the left side) then scroll to the right and look under the Component section:

It answers your question pretty precisely.
