Hi All,
I have an old Gen 1 I7 Pavillion, its been great but getting slow with the w10 h2 update especially at boot up, I bought a sata 3 HDD to backwards compatible run on the sata 2 ports, i removed my old drives and only had the new HDD in, I get nothing on boot up; nothing from the grpahics at all not even the bios but also no beeps, any ideas? It has no onboard graphic slot so i cant remove the gcard. 🙂

Unfortunately, some models do not seem to want to work with certain SSDs.
Users have tried several SSDs, before being able to find the correct one
It is not so much a practical solution!
If you can, go to a specialist who can do the tests.
There all I can tell you, and I think it will be a failure
With SSD only, keyboard, mouse, monitor, nothing else
turn off the computer, unplug the power
keep the power button pressed for a while
Reconnect the power supply, restart and hit the key several times for the bios f10 in general
If you have bios access, check if the SSD is detected!
If nothing's wrong, I'm afraid you'll have to give up getting SSD

Hello
which model your ssd?
The computer does not work with the SSD, but can you at least restart with the hdd drive alone?
When the ssd is installed, and you start, what happens exactly, nothing at all, where many fans are running, the on button stays on, anything else?
