Swap HDD for SSD or Swap current SSD for larger SSD?
04-09-2021 05:57 PM

My current SSD has windows on it, the m.2.
But I wanted to know if I could get rid of my 1tb HDD for a 1-2tb SSD, if at all possible will a sata 3 SSD work with what I believe is SATA 1, which is what the HDD is currently using? or would swapping the m.2 be better/ would I have to repurchase windows since it's installed to that drive?

Its specs
which shows it has
- 128 GB PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 Solid State
- 1 TB
- You can upgrade 128 GB PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 Solid State to larger capacity drive (256GB, 412GB, 1TB or 2TB).
- You can upgrade its 1TB to 1TB or 2TB SSD drive but normally you have buy 2.5" SATA SSD therefore you need an adapter to convert 2.5" to 3.5" slot.
You can do BOTH or one of the above options, it is up to you select which one. I would do the first one, it suits my need.
Regards.
