I'm a photography amateur hobbyist who's looking to upgrade to a dedicated graphics card for my TE01-1020. The PC has a 400W power supply and a PCle x16 and a PCle x1 slots. HP told me that Photoshop may not work or crash with addition of a new card...but they didn't say if that was when both the integrated and dedicated cards were working at the same time? Anyway, I'd like some one you has this model series and had added a graphics card to clue me in on whether or not to do it; and, if it is a go, maybe recommend some compatible cards. I believe that a moderate to lower priced card would be good enough. Thanks.

hi
TE01-1020 Product Specifications
you confirm that it is this model?
Can you check the system requirements for the software used
I don't quite understand what would have been said, if Photoshop needs some configuration, why wouldn't it work with a graphics card ..
You will be limited compared to the power supply box
but it will certainly be a plus
My wife used a version with a not that powerful laptop, so with a good graphics card I don't see why it wouldn't work better!

Confirmed, that is my model. I have enough specs to run my photo editing programs, but I would like to speed things up a bit. And to do this, I was told I need a better graphics card. As there are two PCle slots (x16 and x1, which I know nothing about) and a 400W power supply, I would naively think that a dedicated card can be added.
But, I was getting mixed information from HP about Photoshop (something about not running two cards) and whether or not the integrated card can be disabled.

It's a desktop computer
if you install a graphics card, the integrated card will not be used
So for the photoshop version you have?

I wonder why HP didn't tell me that by using a dedicated card, the integrated card would be automatically disabled?I am using Photoshop Elements 18 and Photolab4-Elite. Most of the editing slowness comes about when exporting .tiffs from PL4 to PSE.

check the required configurations
Adobe must indicate somewhere the recommended GPUs
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/system-requirements/older-versions.html
Integrated graphics
- Intel UHD Graphics 630 (for Intel Core i5-10400, Core i7-10700, and Core i3-10100)
- Intel UHD Graphics 610 (for Intel Celeron G5900 and Pentium G6400)
note:Integrated video is not available if a graphics card is installed.
an example here, with the same motherboard, 400w power supply
HP model, it will be necessary to check the power supply requirements and dimensions for the graphics cards on sale

Checked the needed specs to run PSE. My PC's specs far exceed the requirements.
The NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1660 Ti looks to be the best fit for my PC's specs. But, at what cost? I don't think I need to spend $600 for for 1/2 minute speed up. I know that cards are high now, so perhaps I'll wait a while and hope things cool down a bit.
I will check with Adobe about Photoshop Elements possible adverse interaction with the cards. Yesterday, HP reported to me that they have seen two conflicting reports: One said there would be problems and the other said no problem???

Indeed, see what is possible, even if you can not install a graphics card at a high price, you can install a cheaper card, it will certainly be better than the integrated one.
Not being a user, I cannot advise you too much
But maybe a graphics card of this type would be suitable.

It's just for example!
I'm not telling you to buy this exact model
And unfortunately I can not guarantee compatibility
