I want to upgrade this tower with Expansion Slots

  • 1 PCI Express x16 (Gen3.0)
  • 3 PCI Express x1 (Gen2.0)
  • 1 half-length mini card

but the one slot with the right slot for a m.2 ssd is a mini and I don’t know if I get a male to make extension cable to plug the m.2 into that if it will work and the description on the support page for the tower doesn’t list what it’s use for and the virtual agent keeps sayIng rephrase the question instead of explaining the slots

@Willie30,

That slot is not correct for an M.2 SSD.

The specification must be M.2 socket 3, key M

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
