Sorry, that didn't work for you.
I don't believe it has anything to do with the different date because I have given that suggestion to many other forum members that have gotten that USB update with several different dates.
It has to do with HP printers and some driver that Windows thinks the printer needs and it never works for any of them.
The utility should have found the update, reported it was fixed after you check the box, so I don't know why it failed to remedy the problem.
You may find as I had explained to the other forum member that the update will eventually clear itself out after a few days/restarts.
This post was marked as solved by following the guidance where someone had the same update as yours but on a different USB driver date.
What HP needs to do is to remove those updates from the Microsoft Windows update site, because they don't work and are not necessary.

Did not work. I tried it twice. On the second try the troubleshooter didn't find the update available and when I run the updates it shows up. I restarted the system twice and the update is still there and shows as pending.
BTW, it could be because the pending update differs from the one marked as solved.
