HP ENVY Desktop-PC TE01-1000i (8BN83AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I need help to figure out which USB contentions on the front and backside are 2.0 and which  are3.0

All connections on the HP ENVY Desktop-PC TE01-1000i (8BN83AV)  are black, but the computer is advertised with 3.0 USB connections. The manual was no help.

Are there any information regarding the USB connections?

Thanks

I can't find the specs of your machine but a similar machine

                 https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06783793

which shows it has

  • 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate;
  • 4 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate;
  • 1 headphone/microphone combo

That means all USB-A ports are USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 type A.

Regards.

Thank you for the fast replay Banhien.

The PC is advertised with 4x USB 2.0, 4x USB 3.1 Gen1 and 1x USB 3.2 Gen1 (Typ-C).

In the front are 4 USB connections and one Typ-C. From try and error, it seems like the two upper connections are USB 2.0 and the two lower one are USB 3.0.

Well, all black looks nice, but it is not very practical. It is not good when the costumer must guess which one to use. A short info in the manual would help. I hope HP will make an improvement.

As I said before, I did not find the Official specs of your machine, I used an example for the series.
