Not sure the definition of "moderm" .

 

If you purchased a device at Best Buy, then Best Buy sold you the device.

 

Contact the store customer service where you purchased the computer / device.

 

Check, too, what you purchased.

For example,

Was the box sealed "new from factory" or was the device resold by Best Buy as "open box".

Can you prove what you purchased this many months later?

What?

Some stores do take in returns from one customer and then re-sell the product to another customer.

Store policy dictates what that merchant will do.
