Pavilion All in one 27 r1xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Pavilion All in one 27 r1xx. I have an extra monitor connected and wanted to add another. The computer only has one HDMI port for in and another for out. Since the available port is being used by my additional monitor I bought an adapter to change the HDMI cable for second monitor into USB so I could run the extra monitor. However the monitor still isn’t being detected.

Ive spent a day trying to update things and restart my computer but nothing works.. Please help !!

It is not clear as to what this is "I bought an adapter to change the HDMI cable for second monitor into USB" might be.

Perhaps an explanation or a make and model number?

Some similar to this should work, however
