HP Pavilion Desktop - 560-p038ng PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello guys, I wanted to change the video card on my HP Pavilion Desktop PC - 560-p038ng PC motherboard: Odense2-S
Power supply: 180w
I wanted to change the video card and if possible also the power supply, but I don't know if my motherboard supports a gtx 1060 3gb video card and I don't know what power supply I have to put, always if the motherboard supports this video card.
I hope for your answer.
Best regards xDaymal

@xDaymal,

The GTX 1060 length is important. Go to the selected manufacturer and look up the specs'  (length).

Cut a piece of cardboard the same length, and about 4.3" in height.

1) Shutdown computer and remove power cord.

2) Remove side panel and place the cardboard atop the PCIE slot. Will it fit. Your looking for length access.

The current GTX 950 is only 30W less than the GTX 1060, but you will have to decide on a new power supply in the 400-430W range, because that is the usual minimum now being offered that has the required PCIE 6 pin power plug. Getting a 500-600W unit will not be better because of "power curve performance".   Excess power is not of benefit, IMHO.

Most power supplies hit their peak efficiency levels with loads in the range of 40 to 80 percent. Building to about 50 to 60 percent of a PSU’s capacity is advisable to achieve maximum efficiency and yet leave room for future expansion. Source document found here.

That is just the basic's. To actually install you will need to ask further.
