HP Envy Phoenix 810-445QE
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My hard drive (Seagate)was the victim of a power failure in our neighborhood and I need to replace it and re-install Windows and recover everything from a backup.

Can I replace it with a 2T SSD?  If so:

1. what brand would you recommend?

2. What issues will I face in doing this (correct cables, power supply issues, etc) or do I just plug one in?

Thanks!

Its specs

A1. You can replace its current SATA HDD with 2TB 2.5" HDD using many standard 2.5" SSD drives around such as Crucial MX500, Samsung 860/870 EVO ...... for example

             https://cplonline.com.au/samsung-mz-77q2t0bw-870-qvo-2tb-2-5-7mm-sata-ssd.html

A2. Because 2.5" drive is smaller, you need a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter to keep smaller drive in place. Some adapters already have hardware you need (more expensive) but some don't. For example

                   https://computers.mwave.com.au/electronics/2.5-To-3.5-Adapter

                   https://www.amazon.com.au/Version-Adapter-Converter-Mounting-Interface/dp/B01LZWX6PD

                   https://www.mwave.com.au/product/startech-25-to-35-sata-hard-drive-adapter-enclosure-with-ssd-hdd-ab...

That's all you need.

Regards.
