Hola!

@JIvanC,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

The only way to power an HP Z230 SFF with an ATX power supply, is by using a specialized ATX power adapter, such as this one:

Link: Amazon.com: COMeap 24 pin to 6 pin Adapter HP ATX Power Cable Compatible with Z200 Z210 Z220 Z230 Z2....

Again, please make sure that whatever ATX power adapter you use, that it is specifically specified as being compatible with the HP Z230 platforms. Make sure that you plug in the 24-pin and 6-pin ("P2") power adapter cables, and power your motherboard with a 4-pin "CPU" power cable supplied by your ATX power supply.  If your ATX power adapter is the right kind, you got a working ATX power supply and you plug in the power cables as mentioned, your desktop should work just fine.

And yes, an RTX 2060 requires at least a 500-watt power supply.

Kind Regards,

Oh! Thanks a lot!
I bought an adapter but i’m not sure if it is specialized for this model, i only bought an adapter 24 to 6 i didn’t know that the adapter should be specialized, i will buy it and i will install it.

My ATX power supply almost have an 8pin power to CPU but it can be divided in two parts.

thanks a lot! I will return with the result

@JIvanC,

Yes, the 8-pin CPU power supply cable can be splitted into two 4-pin connectors, one of which will fit onto your motherboard:
