I want to instal a GPU in a HP ENVY -750-424 and need a PSU with more wattage and connector for theGPU as well as the odd DVD connector. Are there other PSUs such as the Crosair CX500 that would work?

Pleased to help.
I believe you wanted this adapter for the DVD drive.
Saying I agree with a CX500 and you need more wattage would make you very unhappy.
Wattage varies on GPU cards. What card? Any why? What game for example?
The GTX 1080 draws 180W avg, the R7 480 draws 120W avg.

Thank you so very much for your quick response. I plan to install an nVidia Geforce GTX 750 Ti from my old computer. I'm assuming that the CX500 should be more than adequate correct?
Thanks again for your help
