Pavilion 590-p0071
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am planning to purchase a Sapphire Pulse RX 5600 XT BE GPU for the Pavilion 590-p0071, which will require an upgraded PSU in the 500-550 watt range. I am not able to determine a replacement PSU that will fit and have the proper cabling. It appears that the original PSU is proprietary. (If so, this is the last HP PC I will ever buy.)

Can someone recommend a replacement PSU? Thank you!

its custom on most.

not some, like  400 G3

some HP  and adapter cable works,  to real PSU.

ive done few but not all , impossible. for me. to .

the gaming PC OMEN some do some don;t  some are 8pin or 2x4 wired, to 8.

Best is build your own PC,  use ASUS or Gigabyte, MoBo ,  and any PSU you waNT. OR GPU  , On my z270 , with 700watt DPS PSU, tested over 25cards, even 250w crazy fast GPU.

most scary on yours is this junk.  MAJOR alien this , no adapters  sold like on other simple 4/8 pin models.

590.JPGscary this.

I know DELL way better but these can work too just like the DELLs, but  getting the  right one is tricky

some HP I see have odd voltage for standby just like dell does.  +5Vstandby  ATX is alien is +12vdc-stby.  see blister mid cable bingo DC to DC amp chip . there.

im sure others have messed around here, and hope you get solid advice.

some PSU have a FAN command pin white-red stripe.
