Welcome to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
Your system board can be reviewed using the service guide (Link) page 176.
I see no M.2 socket on the MB. This means the BIOS will probably not support booting to a M.2 PCIe stick drive.
You can get a PCIe to M.2 adapter. Install the adapter in an open PCIe x4 slot or higher.
Install the stick drive in the adapter if you want a M.2 data drive.
