Roughly 3 years ago I purchased an Hp pavilion gaming desktop, it's ran pretty well these last 3 years but I think it's time I upgrade some parts in the old gal.
I'm not looking to go upgrading the cpu, never really got close to maxing it out so that's not my bottleneck, but the RAM and GPU are definitely showing their age. It has the 1650 super and a whopping 8gb of RAM. Would the current PSU be able to handle a 2060? Hell maybe even a 3050? I'm not super tech savvy when it comes to pc parts so I haven't a clue if an rtx series card would even work 🤷. Also what brand of ram could I buy to toss in the extra slot so I can get another 8GB in there?
If needed I can try and find what model pavilion it is to get some more info on any potential upgrades I can make to it.
Thank ya much.

Welcome to our HP community forum!
Let's see what we can do for you, but first I need some basic PC information.
Please type in: System Information in your Windows search bar, and click on the System Information app. Look to the right of: "System SKU", "Processor" and "BaseBoard Product", and provide that information.
Kind Regards,
