@Kxser , welcome to the forum.
What is the Product Number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. You can find the Product Number at the bottom of the page when you open HP Support Assistant.

You are very welcome, @Kxser!
Where do you start: do you have the new M.2, SSD? If not, here is one that should work for you: https://www.newegg.com/samsung-970-evo-2tb/p/N82E16820147692
As you can see, the 2 TB drives are very expensive. You can buy a different brand and possibly save a small amount. I just happen to be a Samsung guy. Their SSD's seem to work best with a HP BIOS/UEFI.
Unfortunately, HP didn't provide a motherboard diagram. There are numerous videos online to show you how to install the M.2, SSD. You may not have to remove your video card. Check to see where the M.2 socket is located on the motherboard.
Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.
