Upgrading an HP Envy 750-171

HP Recommended
HP ENVY 750-171
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to upgrade my HP Envy 750-171 I know the motherboard 2B47 1.04 has an M.2 slot socket 1, key A, I'm not sure where it is on the motherboard and need to know what type of M.2 SSD can I add?  Or can we increase the amount of ram beyond 16 GB or increase the ram speed beyond 1600 to improve performance?  Need help deciding how to upgrade this PC.  My Video card is an Nvidia GTX 1660 overclocked 6 GB card, which seems fine for now.  but my ram and ram speeds are slow.  HELP!

@UPGRADEMYRAM , welcome to the forum.

Here is the Product Specifications page for the computer: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-750-100-desktop-pc-series/8499646/model/9181618/documen...

The M.2 socket 1, key A socket is for WLAN cards and not a M.2, SSD.  You can use a standard SSD, however.  Here are the memory and SSD's that are recommended by Crucial Memory: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hP-Compaq/envy-750-171

As you will see, the maximum memory is 16 GB.  You won't be able to upgrade it to a faster speed.  HP doesn't build XMP's into the BIOS/UEFI: https://www.pcgamer.com/what-are-xmp-profiles-and-how-do-i-use-them/

I wish that I had better news for you, but at this point, there isn't much that you can do to improve system performance.
