HP EliteDesk 800 G5 Base Model Tower PC

Hi guys, I don't know where else to ask.
I got an HP EliteDesk 800 G5 Tower model and I was wondering to use it with an RX580 8GB.

I have already additional PSU (700W) to be connected, but sadly, as you already know, HP has a proprietary cable for the power supply. In my case, it is a P2 cable with 7 pin (all filled with a single cable).

Checking online, I found only adapters for 6 pin cables but nothing for the 7 pin.

Do you have any suggestion on how I can solve this issue? Would be really appreciated! Even buying an HP one...

Thanks in advance.

Hi @LeonCz93

According to the specifications the Tower model supports that graphic without PSU changes.

Thank you for your prompt reply @Resistencia
Wow, I was not expecting this answer! It's a bit weird because everywhere is written that a 400W minimum PSU supply is needed for that graphic card.

Now the issue is how can I supply the graphic card after connecting it in the PCI-E 16x slot?
Seems that I have no more power cords coming from the PSU 😞

P.s. I just rechecked your document, as you can see a 500W chassis is needed:

I don't know which one to buy but the low profile doesn't need cable

Sadly it is not a low profile version, but a normal one. No way to get the 500W PSU described in the manual?
