Upgrading processor on HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0022na

Hi, I'm looking at upgrading the processor on my HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0022na. I am sure that the motherboard is LGA 1151 so I should be able to swap over to an  Intel Core i7 9700K 3.6GHz Octa Core. Anyone else tried this or know if this would work?

Thanks for this - I think that the 9700 would be the choice, as the K version has a TDP of 95W

That is correct. I did indicate to choose the 9700 (65W) - having just purchased an i7-9700f (also 65W),

I have now inserted the new processor (i7-9700f), and after updating the BIOS everything is running fine.

 

 It was easy, took 30 mins....
