Just looking to upgrade the pc and knowing whether i can upgrade the power supply from 180W to something like 450W possibly any help would be appreciated

I am  going to answer you question with a spreadsheet.  The HP M01 is called a series. Any computer within the series uses the same power supply.  You have 2 choices, a 400W or the 500W.  Go for the 500W.

 

Nobody has ever seen the ERICA2 motherboard. Want to become known and famous!!  Please upload total viewpoint of the rear and insides. Then work clockwise 10, 2 , 4, 8.  The know of the following:

1) PSU has 3 cables, two 2x2, 1 inline 7 on the 180W.

2) Motherboard supplies SATA power and ODD power, but the design (2x2, 2x3, 1x4 vary)

3) Erica2 has NVMe PCIex4.        The Erica only has PCiex2.

 

Anything helps.
