Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-0000i (491A7AV)

Hello,

I'm new here;

my computer (model in subject) has 16 gigs of ram installed (2 modules of 8 gigs); I would like to upgrade to 32 gigs (2 modules of 16 gigs). Does my motherboard support 32 gigs?
If yes, which ram modules should I purchase?

Thank you all!

Greetings @pepix74

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Go to Crucial Memory.

Use the Crucial Scanner to ID your HP PC.

Crucial Memory will provide compatible memory module upgrades for your HP MB.

@pepix74,

@Bill_To pointed you to the correct RAM (2x16GB of DDR4 PC4-25600, 3200 MHz, Non-ECC, UDIMM, 288-pin RAM modules), but since you live in Italy, here is another purchase example of a quality/affordable 2x16GB dual rank (2Rx8) RAM kit via Amazon-Italy: https://www.amazon.it/Timetec-PC4-25600-Progettato-Compatibile-Aggiornamento/dp/B07QRVNB26/ref=sr_1_....

Just make sure it is a 2x16GB RAM kit.

Hello,

I've bought this one: Corsair Vengeance Lpx Ddr4-Ram 3600 Mhz 2X 16Gb

https://www.amazon.it/dp/B07ZPLM1R1?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

The pc is ok, BIOS recognize 32 giga of ram, Windows 11 recognize 32 giga of ram...but in Windows I see the speed of the ram is 2133 MT/S instead of 3600 (or at least 3200) MHz.

I've tried to search how change the clock frequency into the bios but I cannot make any change, I can just modify the clock (day and time) and the boot options....

Any suggestion?

Thanks!!

@pepix74,

Yes, I do have an urgent suggestion for you: return the Corsair RAM and get your money back. Reason being is that this RAM will remain stuck at its "SPD" or default 2133 MHz RAM speed (at least in your PC), and there is nothing you can do about it.

I had given you a perfectly good RAM option (Timetec), why didn't you buy that?

Kind Regards,

Hello,

you are right, I got those memories on the advice of a colleague of mine, I had paid 10 euros less and the shipping was 1 day.

Anyway, I started the return procedure on Amazon and ordered the memories you recommended.

They will arrive on Thursday, I will update you as soon as I install them.

Thanks.
