Hello.

I bought laptop online with HP SSD ex900 preinstalled

Bought it in USA and now living in Russia

Today SSD stoped working, i tried to find if i have a warranty, but cannot find any information about it and no contact either.

Hi Deathmetallkara,

 

I could be wrong -perhaps HP Customer Service responds, but it is probably problematic to get HP to extend warranty on your defective SSD EX900 M.2.

 

Fortunately, a replacement HP SSD EX900 M.2 250GB isn't all that expensive.

 

For example, Amazon lists this part for $34.99 -see link: https://www.amazon.com/HP-EX900-Internal-2YY43AA-ABC/dp/B07B319VG2/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1VIQ24OG6DOAA&key...

The computer has a warranty, hp minimum of one year
which includes everything that composes it
Only, normally it is applicable in the country of purchase
you will certainly not be able to take advantage of the latter
see the conditions

I bought a used laptop with hp ssd, which was not preinstalled there . First owner bought it to replace broken one.

Am asking, coz have an expeirience with another brand, when SSD was broken (bought in USA 2), i just used simple mail to send it to them. They test it, and then send me back a new one.

So just trying to figure out, if it is possible to do the same with HP.

If not, then not. Already bought a new one=)

Is the ssd guaranteed, but not the computer?
Frankly try, but even for that it may not be possible
I replaced an hdd disk on my HP computer under warranty
at my request, they sent me the HDD disk, it is possible
But for me, I had not changed country!
