Purchased this keyboard in September 2024, and it just stopped working Mar 2025. NO damage to it, new batteries, it is not a computer issue. It's still under warranty.
Purchased from Amazon, but the return window is closed, and they cannot do anything on their end. I would really like to just get a refund, and not have another HP product that will break on me in less than 6 months.

Hi @AnnaM1342,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP 230 wireless keyboard stopped working, there could be multiple issues, request you to please try the steps and let me know to help you better.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Restart Your Computer: A simple restart can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
- Safe Mode: Boot your computer into Safe Mode to see if the keyboard works in a minimal environment, which can help determine if the issue is software-related.
- Try a Different Computer: If possible, test the keyboard and mouse on another computer to see if the problem lies with your computer or the devices.
Batteries:
Ensure the batteries in both the keyboard and mouse (if applicable) are fresh and properly inserted.
USB Receiver:
- Make sure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a functional USB port on your computer.
- Try unplugging and re-plugging the receiver.
- Try a different USB port on your computer.
Power Switch:
Some keyboards have a power switch, ensure it's turned on.
Distance:
Ensure the keyboard and receiver are within a reasonable distance to each other to maintain a strong signal.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
