Warranty began on the desktop computer before it was purchased.

The 590 series has been around for at least 18 months.  Your unit is what is called NOS (new old stock). Seen several liquidators selling these.  Just photocopy all your paperwork for the warranty is valid when purchased.

Caveats:

1) HP 590 has an HP proprietary power (PSU) supply.  It is not an ATX off the shelf PSU.   The available (from HP Parts Store) are the 310W, 400W, and 500W.  Here is a  spreadsheet cross-reference.

2) You have the 180W, (according to specs).  Only low power (20-30W) GPU cards will work with an 180W.
