What graphic cards are compatible for my desktop? And possibly processor and ram?

Hi, I have a Envy TE01 - 0034 PC with no graphic card, 16 gb of ram, and i7 8700 COU

I want to see if I can upgrade this to better handle some games and for streaming modded minecraft.

I looked up the motherboard, I have an HP 8653, and I see that is has an unused PCIe 16x (and a single 1x) that I can use for adding a graphic card. How do I know what graphic card is compatible? Also is upgrading the ram and processor worth it?

comparing the models here, with the same motherboard, you will find examples
but beware, these are HP models, a commercially purchased graphics card may not have the same requirements..
for example I saw an rtx 2060 with 400w power supply
