Pavilion 570-p064
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Get a msg on startup that fan isn't working correctly. Cleaning of entire insides and re-seating of CPU and CPU fan didn't help. Rear fan runs and doesn't seem to be the issue. The CPU fan runs for a few seconds then stops, then starts, on and on. Not sure if replacing fan will help since it does run and isn't too loud but I figure it's the next thing to try. I'm looking for a part number for the fan or the fan+heat sink combo. so I can purchase a replacement that fits. Any help is appreciated.

Hi:

Below is the link to the parts list for your PC.

HP PartSurfer

The fan is not sold separately, but is sold as part of the heat sink.

866177-001Heatsink - AMD BrisRid 65W, Shave2+

HP does not sell the part, so you will have to do a search by the part number and see if you can find it from another reseller.

If you can find the part, all you should need to do is unscrew the fans off the heatsinks and swap them out.

No need to replace the heat sink.
