The HP EliteDesk 800 G5 Mini with i7 has some expansion slots ( M.2 2230 slot and
M.2 2230/2280 slot), but I am not sure if any of them support adding an Ethernet card. Please advise.

If a port is in place, it is directly on the motherboard .. The m2 is only for a wifi card

Thanks Prométhée
I need to connect an ethernet cable to the HP EliteDesk 800 G5 Mini with i7. There is a port on this computer called RJ45 so I am assuming it would support cabled ethernet. Also it's not clear whether this port is optional (making active by adding a card to the M@ slot) or is it fitted as standard.

Thanks Prométhée, that's very helpful.
One final question please:
I am hesitating in choosing between buying one of two computers:
1. The HP EliteDesk 800 G5 Mini with i7
2. The HP EliteDesk 800 G5 Small Form Factor with i7
Aside from the obvious differences of size and expandability, they appear to be the same systems. My main concern now, before I purchase, is would the mini support three monitors? I chose the HP EliteDisplay E243 23.8" FHD IPS Monitor. Do I need to buy an expansion card to run the third monitor simultaneously? It seems that the standard mini supports only two monitors.
Thanks and regards.

Sorry, I cannot answer this question effectively
I have never seen this type of product directly, it seems very (too) small to me
Personally this is not what I will buy
Difficult to compare, because as you have seen, the product pages give different configuration, everything will depend on the model purchased
The second has obviously more possibilities especially in graphic card, that can make the difference with several screens!
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-elitedesk-800-g5-small-form-factor-pc/27066690/document/c064...
But unfortunately I can not say more, difficult to recommend a type of product like that!
Try to see in store, we can see better with the product in hand!
Sorry for the response time
