I ordered a PSU on June 23rd from HP Spare Parts but my order was pushed almost 2 months. I asked for an ETA and it said early August, today I checked and the estimated ship date is August 28th. The part says that it is in stock but when I asked HP they said it was backlogged. At this point I want to know if there is another way to get a compatible PSU for my desktop. What adapters would I need in order to use a PSU that's not proprietary? I find it ridiculous that HP makes products proprietary and then cannot provide the adequate parts.

@fescobar96,

We on the forum are all volunteers, and not employed by HP. No one here is responsible for the supply chain for parts. There is no licensed adapters, nor do we suggest any.  We have helped you with answers to inquiries.  I have personally tried to assist you to the fullest allowed by policy.  I wrote the PSU cross reference spreadsheet (part numbers) which you used.

I was not blaming anyone on the forums for the supply chain issue, I was just stating my predicament.

As for your answer, it is hard to believe that you are not employed by HP since you uphold policy so well.

It is clear that there are adapters that I could use to solve my problem, but sadly I will have to use other sources to find this information.

@fescobar96,

Thank you for your observation.   The hack is dangerous.
