Solved!

Where can I find normal AMD CPU operating temperatures on HP Motherboards?

HP 705 SFF G-1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought this as a Refurbished unit with an AMD A6 Pro 7400B CPU. After Downloading and setting up several Apps, I noticed the air from the back of unit was very warm. Installed HWMoniter and it says :

Temperature 0 33 degC (90 degF) (Package)
Temperature 1 82 degC (178 degF) (Cores)
Clock Speed 0 3920.03 MHz (Core #0)
Clock Speed 1 3920.03 MHz (Core #1)
Core 0 max ratio 39.0 (effective 39.0)
Core 1 max ratio 39.0 (effective 39.0)

I have seen it as high as 91 degC for the cores.

Do I have a problem or not, I have already jacked up the fan speed in BIOS.

Thank You for your time.

Scott

@Scottcaddy , welcome to the forum.

Here are the specifications for the processor.  If you look at the section titled "Maximum operating temperature" it shows 70C.  Therefore, I believe that you do have a problem.  You may want to consider buying a better cooler, such as, one made by Noctua.  You can contact their Tech Support for help with choosing the best cooler for your system.  You will need to know the distance from the processor to the side panel of the case.

Thank You for the welcome!

I just got this unit Wednesday and it is under a 90 day warranty. I will get with the seller and quote the CPU spec sheet that you showed me, and see what they have to say about it. Thanks for the information and the CPU web-site! I will get back to you with the end result.

Thanks Again!
