Hi,

I would like to upgrade RAM for my gaming Desktop HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-1160xt to 16g, currently it's 8g.  Please let me know which RAM I'm going to buy. Do I need a 8g RAM (because current it's already 8g) or do I need to buy 2-8g.

Thank you very much!

@titi3000titi,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Yes, you can upgrade your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-1160xt up to 2 x32GB of DDR4 PC4-23400, 2933 MHz, Non-EEC, UDIMM, 288-pin RAM sticks. Since PC4-23400 (2933 MHz) RAM sticks are more challenging to find, go for the DDR4 PC4-25600 (3200 MHz) RAM, which will down throttle to 2933 MHz.

Matching RAM (same brand/model) is highly recommended.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
