@Goutham_09, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
File System Compatibility:
USB drives are typically formatted using either FAT32, exFAT, or NTFS file systems. TVs, including many models from brands like Acer, often only support FAT32 or exFAT. If your USB drive is formatted in a file system that is not compatible with your TV (like NTFS, which is usually used for larger drives on computers), it might not be recognized properly.
- If you formatted the drive in NTFS, try reformatting it in FAT32 or exFAT. You can do this by plugging the drive back into your laptop and using the disk management tool to format it correctly for use with your TV.
Important: For FAT32, keep in mind it has a 4GB file size limit, so if you plan to store large videos, exFAT might be a better choice for compatibility with both your computer and TV.
Video Format and Content:
If you're trying to play media files from the USB drive, ensure that the file formats (video, music, etc.) are supported by the TV. TVs typically support MP4, MKV, or AVI files for video. If the content on the USB is not in a compatible format, the TV might not display it correctly even if the USB drive is recognized.
I hope these steps help resolve the issue
