Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is it possible to boot from Samsung M.2 MVNe SSD instead of HP turbo drive using PCIe Gen 3x4 on HP Z240.

Any Update of firmware or Bios required for that.

Thanks.

Firmware should allow booting from any device.  I can make some suggestions that might be helpful.

First questions:  What are you currently booting from and what drives do you have in your system.

According to this specification you could have a hard drive, a solid state SSD (2.5 inch) and (I don't see it listed) an M.2

I am pretty sure the motherboard has an M.2 slot.  Not sure why it is not listed in the spec so that is why I asked.

There is a discussion here with some success and some failure but it looks like you can boot from the M.2

If your M.2 is empty and not being used, you can put an inexpensive but small but fast ram in it and install something like PrimoCache and program the M.2 to speedup your hard drives.
