HP Pavilion Elite HPE-590t CTO Desktop PC (XX096AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just replaced the hard drive with an SSD. I reinstalled Windows 10 Pro and it automatically activated. File explorer showed the SSD as C:, and also four  USB drives (as D, E, F, and G). The USB drives also showed in Disk Management. They showed the same way before I replaced the hard drive.

Some hours later, in the course of setting up the PC, after updating Windows and installing Outlook 2019, I noticed that the USB drives were gone from file explorer, and also from Disk Management. Device Manager does not show any unknown devices (see below). Any suggestions as to how to recover the 15-in-1 memory card reader drives?

Thanks for the suggestion. Yesterday I restarted several times and the devices did not reappear. This morning when I powered on, the devices reappeared. I'm guessing it was the cold boot that did it. Anyway, I have been working on the PC all day, with several restarts, and the drives have remained, both in File explorer and Disk manager (as well as Device Manager).

So I don't know the reason for the problem, but it appears to have taken care of itself. Thanks for the tip about hidden devices.
